Kellie, Alissa, and I are officially "Braces Buddies" - a distinction the girls thought up when we put our teeth in prison a couple of days ago. It hurts. It really hurts. We are all on a voluntary liquid diet because our mouths are so sore - I've lost 2 lbs.!
Our orthodontist called this morning to see if we were still his friends. Not yet, but maybe someday.

MOM... I specifically remember that we told you that it was a metal death trap, not a tooth prison. I don't like the picture, oh well. You promised us Jamba Juice's if we smiled, so we did. :)
I got braces on my bottom teeth - one tooth decided to cave inward a couple of months ago and it's moving quickly, so we're realigning it. It's only supposed to be for 4 months, but that means heavy duty work to move them quickly. Translation: more pain!
I have always wanted braces on the bottom teeth. Interesting about that one tooth. Good luck.
I was lucky to never have braces so I don't know the pain, but we know Luke is going to need them soon. His two upper laterals are not coming down and it's been almost a year now. The poor kid gets teased at school for looking like a rabbit with only his two front teeth showing.
